Blue-gray lap siding with black gutters

A house near Manheim in blue-gray lap siding, white corner trim and black fascia, gutters and downspouts.

Manheim areaApr 2025

This house near Manheim in Lancaster County was finished in April 2025 in blue-gray lap siding with white corners and a black roof edge.

The color scheme

Blue-gray siding, white corner boards and black fascia, gutters and downspouts is a combination that works on almost any house. The white defines the corners, and the black roof edge and downspouts read as a crisp line rather than something to hide.

Details at the roof line

The photos show the siding running up to a black fascia and soffit, with the gutter pitched to the downspout at the corner. Where the siding meets the soffit, a trim piece closes the gap so there is no ragged top edge.
